Despite the relatively hard brake pad material, our Redstuff pad achieves a very high coefficient of friction (0.5) and thus provides more braking power and faster deceleration in faster and heavier vehicles (> = 220 hp) without putting excessive strain on the brake disc. Excellent braking performance is achieved even when the brakes are cold, but of course this improves progressively as the temperature of the brake pads rises. The EBC Redstuff brake pad has a very low amount of brake dust and should be driven on both axles in the course of an optimal brake balance. Like all EBC brake pads in the automotive sector, all EBC Redstuff sport brake pads are provided with a brake coating, broken edges, a heat groove and a powder coating.
